My Classroom

My Classroom

When I began in my classroom, I was hired as a one year long term sub. Not knowing what the future held, I waited to put my spin on the classroom. Through lots of prayerful waiting, I was hired on permanently! I was very excited to get started on making the room "mine." I LOVE how my room turned out. I got lots of compliments from parents and co-workers which is nice, but ultimately I do it for me and my kiddos. I want to come to a place everyday that feels like a safe, comfortable second home and that's what I want for my students too. I liked it so much, and put so much work into it that I've kept it like this, to this day! It took a lot of time and effort so I was okay making it last. But it started getting discolored so this is the year I am redoing my room again. Stay posted! Once my room is transformed for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year I'll post new pictures.

This was one of my favorite parts of the room. My chalkboard silhouettes of kiddos playing at recess. I found this idea from Kinder-Craze who collaborated with Schoolgirl Style (which is where I purchased the patterns). Just click on their names to browse their sites. This is not for the faint of heart! This took a lot of patience and t.i.m.e.
